We are delighted to announce that National Student Pride are working in partnership with Brighton Pride to make the UK’s Biggest Pride Festival even more accessible to students from across the UK and internationally.

The Brighton Pride Festival takes place over the weekend of 4th-6th August 2017 with the parade taking place on Saturday 5th August 2017 followed by the Pride Festival in Preston Park and has become the UK’s biggest Pride festival with over 300,000 people participating in the celebrations across the city last year.

This year’s event is themed 'Summer of Love', a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales, and is expected to a attract huge numbers of participants, spectators and visitors from across Sussex and further afield for what, according to Tourism South East, is the biggest event and tourist attraction in Brighton.

Emma Costello, Chair of National Student Pride, said:

"Having spent so many years in Brighton, it's wonderful to come back to Pride by the sea and celebrate being LGBT in Brighton home to so many safe queer and LGBT-friendly spaces. We hope lots of students join us!"
