WE’RE RECRUITING A NEW MEMBER OF STAFF
ENGAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
We’re looking for someone with experience to lead on developing strong, innovative relationships with universities and student groups across the UK to grow our reach, partnerships and ticket sales for National Student Pride.
You’ll be the key link between our event, our student audience, and the universities that support them. This role is perfect for someone who is a people person that enjoys building relationships, spotting new opportunities, and is excited about creating engaging, student-focused experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
University Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with student unions, LGBTQ+ societies, and university contacts to promote National Student Pride and encourage group bookings.
Partnership Development: Identify and develop strategic partnerships with universities and other relevant bodies to increase visibility and attendance at the event.
Accommodation Packages: Work creatively to innovate and trial new pricing models for our group accommodation packages to make attending easier and more affordable.
Ticket Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the wider team to boost ticket sales through tailored group offers, early bird packages, and university-exclusive discounts.
Student Committee Coordination: Work closely with our diverse and passionate committee, organising regular meetings and ensuring everyone stays on track and supported in the run-up to the event.
You’ll be expected to work across the following platforms and tools:
Google Workspace: Confident in managing spreadsheets, presentations, and shared drives to keep everything organised and clear.
Presentation Skills: Able to confidently present to university staff, students, and potential partners to promote the event and encourage collaboration.
Client Engagement: Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and partners with professionalism and warmth.
Social Media Literacy: Comfortable using social platforms to support engagement and help amplify committee and university partnerships.
In person networking: Attending events and Universities in person. You must be comfortable talking to new people and building relationships.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and passionate about bringing LGBTQ+ students together. Team work is of utmost importance. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how National Student Pride connects with universities across the country and helps bring even more students into the community.
Through this role, you will develop:
First-hand experience in event partnership and outreach strategy
Insight into managing and motivating a student-led team
Skills in pricing strategy, communications, and audience engagement
Confidence in delivering presentations and engaging a variety of stakeholders
A deeper connection to the LGBTQIA+ student community and its needs
Previous experience desired.
Working
The job is based from Student Pride’s office in Angel, Islington. NSP meetings will mostly be held on Wednesdays evenings and will be a mix of in person and online.
You will need to be flexible with your approach to the hours you spend and will need to manage your own time effectively.
You will need to be adaptable to Students volunteering time which is generally outside of office hours and this is the time meetings will generally take place
